Cut specifically for the DeWalt DWS779 Type 20. The Type 20 table differs from the standard DWS779, so a generic insert won't sit flush — this one is machined to the Type 20 dimensions.
🔎 Is My Saw a Type 20?
Check the sticker on the back of your saw near the serial number. If it reads Type 20, this is your insert.
- Type 22 on the sticker → DWS779 Type 22 insert
- No Type number, or a different one → DWS779 standard insert

The fit was not good and off by more almost a 1/4" on each side. Sent pictures and specific details and waiting on a response. Could have done this better myself.

Mike is a class act and true professional. There are several “types” of the Dewalt 779. I happen to have a Type 22. It’s screw hole pattern is just fractional different than the Type 20. Mike made the first one, screw holes just didn’t fit. He quickly made a new one and it dropped in with some finesse. Both times the walnut was superb. The fit and finish of his product is excellent with great attention to detail. He’s great to deal with and wants you to be happy with the end product. I recommend him. If your unsure of which type of 779 insert to order, just check the sticker on your machine and talk to him first. He’ll steer you right.
The quality of the wood was very good. The holes were off and I had to widen them to make it work. The seller contacted me immediately to resolve my concern. We determined that the 780 model, which I have, is not compatible with this insert without modifying it. So be aware of this if you are considering buying one. I received 1st class customer service.

Shipping was good. Material quality is good. However the pre drilled holes don’t line up correctly. I’ll need to modify the piece to make it fit.
