Plastic throat plates chip and flex. Hardwood zero clearance inserts don't. This precision-fit drop-in replacement for the DeWalt DWE7485 closes the blade gap entirely, so every rip and crosscut is backed up right to the cut edge — cleaner results, less tearout, safer cuts.
Why woodworkers upgrade to hardwood inserts:
- 🎯 Zero tearout — blade-to-insert gap eliminated; wood fibers supported all the way to the cut line
- 🪵 Real hardwood — Walnut, Cherry, or Ash/Maple/Oak; dimensionally stable and won't warp like plastic
- ✂️ Kerf cut on your saw — your blade cuts the slot for a perfect fit to your exact setup
- 🔁 Made to order — fresh and flat when it arrives
Compatible saws: DeWalt DWE7485 · DWE7485WS
Wood options:
🟤 Walnut — rich dark grain, very popular
🍒 Cherry — warm reddish-brown tone
🌿 Ash / Maple / Oak — tight grain, light color, extremely hard-wearing
💡 Pick up two — one for your standard blade, one for your dado stack or specialty blade. Once you go zero clearance, you won't go back.
Handcrafted in small batches. Flat, precise, and ready to install.
